Love God. Love People. Serve the World.
❖ We love God through meaningful and Christ-centered worship.
❖ We love people by building authentic community through fellowship and discipleship.
❖ And we serve the world by participating in mission events, organizing donation drives for both local and global causes, and leading hands-on mission projects that make a lasting impact
The United Methodist Church traces its roots to the Methodist movement founded by John and Charles Wesley in the 18th century. In 1968, The Methodist Church and The Evangelical United Brethren Church united to form what is now The United Methodist Church. Today, we continue to share deep connections with the broader Wesleyan and Methodist traditions. (https://www.umc.org/en/who-we-are/history)
Hello everyone,
My name is Ben Biggs, and I’m honored to be serving as the pastor of Cicero United Methodist Church. Here’s a little bit about me. I graduated from Noblesville High School in 1995, and after many years away, it feels good to be back in Hamilton County! I earned a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Indiana University Kokomo and a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Kate, since 2006. She’s also a pastor, currently serving at Main Street UMC in Kokomo. Together, we have three amazing kids: Grace, Charlotte, and Carter. Being a husband, father, and pastor are some of the greatest joys in my life. A couple of things I deeply value about the United Methodist Church are its strong emphasis on grace and its commitment to mission. In my free time, I enjoy music, board games, outdoor activities, movies, and video games. I’m excited to see what God has in store for us in the years ahead. As I often say: It’s all about relationships!
Let’s grab a cup of coffee sometime—I’d love to get to know you.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Ben
ONLINE GIVING
Giving is a vital expression of our faith at the United Methodist Church. Through our tithes and offerings, we support ministries that share God’s love, serve our neighbors, and build up the church. Generosity reflects the heart of discipleship and our commitment to love God and others. As Scripture reminds us, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7, NIV).
